This has to be one of my favorite shots on this challenge. I absolutly love the texture. Its a very simple shot, yet very powerful. I can see how you raised the contrast, althoug I wish (for the challenge) it was a bit higher. Still, great work! 10 (my only one so far)

You will likely gets lots of love or hate on the border--I tend to ignore the borders unless they are garish and utterly inappropriate--which this one is not. I REALLY Like this image! Beautifully composed, exposed, processed, but you also have worked multiple forms of contrast into this image: light and dark across the entire image, superb local contrast on the bud itself, sharp/soft-bokeh contrast. The focal point and DOF choice here is superb as well. 10
