excellent portrait, maybe a bit more contrast or some dodge and burn to help isolate him fromt he background. I really like the uniqueness.

The perspective looks fine to me, so maybe it's a case of you've looked at too much - I know that happens to me alot. I like how even though it's nasty midday sun, you captured the detail of the structure quite nicely.

I really, really like this photo, Sarah. This is one of those images where you shouldn't be concerned with the score, because it is so arty and exquisite. That said - I just looked at most of the challenge, and though there are many excellent submissions, I'm mystified as to why yours did not score higher. As you mentioned, the commenters' votes provide an enormous gap to the general votes.

Soldier on! With the ability to create such beautiful art, you are really onto something that is beyond this one website.

I know it's high contrast, but this just needs color - a rosebud is too beautiful to put into greyscale. Nice focus and line and I'll still give it a 7!
