I agree with you. I'm also unsure what will work with the pinhole but I bet by the end of the year we will know. It has been so dark (and dreary) here I have to use 15 sec exposure and that is with an iso of 1600 with the 200 micron pin hole. (only need a 2 to 5 sec exposure with the 600 micron but so blurry)
Your shot is an inspiration-I'm going out now looking for trees. |

01-52by salmiakkiComment by bspurgeon: First, let go of the sensor dust...even after a professional cleaning you will see some crud with the pinhole. Shoot higher ISO or dark subjects, it will blend right in! ;)
Second, I also find it very difficult to choose a proper subject or scene, and if you are caught without a tripod, it requires extremely bright light or high ISO for hand held images, unless of course the goal is more blur
