I missed this originally. I like it, but I REALLY like the outtake crop because it makes the interesting stuff bigger. You discovered the solution to a blah sky - crop out most of it. :) The only post-processing skill I'd recommend is cloning. One tiny click and that sensor dust in the sky would disappear. Maybe they're birds, but they look like dust specks.

Nice image but I think it could use more shadow detail and a more interesting foreground.

Very nice contrast. I like the self portrait because it is subtle (it blends in with the other dark lines)

I can't believe you got so close to one of these. These are dangerous; I mean, look at those green eyes, the way it stares. You were brave to get this shot. The shot itself I like, the way you captured the moisture on the surface, in what seems to be some pretty bright light, without any flares or overbright areas, which I think here would have detracted from the earthy tones.

Lovely image, Jason. I guess most voters thought it DNMC. But that's no excuse for all those 1s and 2s. The voters should give some credit to the value of the image aside from the challenge. Well, you may not have a good score, but you have a good picture, and that's what really counts.

Very nice B&W. I like the dramatic sky. I like the texture of the mountain. Don't like so much that the trees have lost their detail. Photo doesn't seem to me to relate very closely to the challenge theme.
