not the best lighting, flattens everything out also, i would have placed the tree somewhere else, or tried a different angle, gets lots in the rocks. :o)

nice use of a shallow depth of field to bring out your subject. probably the biggest problem with the picture, is the purple fringing. it's unfortunate that many digital cameras suffer from this. however, you could have controled it by possibly recomposing the shot in such a way that you could avoid placing the branches over the sky.

Beautiful red pansy! IMO, the image would be much improved if it were larger, and if you could move away some of the leaves in particular to the left hand side - maybe get a bit closer to the flower (I don't know if you can with your camera, so excuse my comments if you can't).

Nice shot, love the contrast between the red flower and green background. The big leaves on the left and the smaller flower on the right are a bit distracting, though. The picture itself is a bit too small to see the details, and that's a bit pity. Regards, Marco
