Ok, Who Took My Shoes?by OneSweetSinComment by boomer: Kinda cute, but given that the title and the eyes are naturally drawn toward the feet, it's a shame they aren't in better focus. You could have cropped off the left hand side of the picture without loss. The subject's face is a bit too shadowy, as well. Nonetheless, if this were MY kid, I'd have this picture framed somewhere! |

Ok, Who Took My Shoes?by OneSweetSinComment by Gordon: The location doesn't really inspire, mainly with the brown dirt on the left . Something closer in and vertical and just using some of the rocks behind for background might be stronger. The pose looks good though the hands 'scratching' the foot looks awkward. A reasonable attempt that could benefit from a less barren location. |

The Struggle to Let Goby OneSweetSinComment by ellamay: Hi greetings from the CC, I liked that you were willing to show some real and painful emotion in your shot. My criticism is only that we did not get to see the rest of your face to help give us more of a context, I suspect many folks missed your emotion here. Technically speaking as is, it is a good detail of an eye, clear, sharp. You may want to consider PSing out the reflection in pupil and bits of eyebrow.
I am sorry for your loss, and hope you are feeling better than when you took this.
Keep up showing those emotions in your work! |
