Nice job! I like that the background is just ever so slightly out of focus and that the bud are still quite clear. Good job in retaining the flower's colour. The water droplets really add interest to this shot. I'm not sure if I like that border or not, but not scoring you down for it.

Very bright. The color really makes your subject stand out of the background. Nothing distracting there. Focus and clarity are good, and the little water droplets really add some interest to the shot for sure. I like how the flower is 'facing' the left, and your border looks alright to me. This goes in order of what I notice first:
1) For your title: give me a shot of that machine there on the far right and some beams or the sign on the fence with the bridge in the background. It's too general this way.
2) It's a newspaper photo...sepia?
3) Crop out the sky, why do we need it in a newspaper article about a bridge being demolished?

Nice photo but with all that sky taking up most of the photo, I wouldn't of desaturated it. If not then maybe crop some of that sky out.
