Rhythm in White by Mother Natureby OneSweetSinComment by karmat: CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

COMPOSITION
A neat idea for subject matter here. The lines in the snow help to draw the eyes upwards into the frame. That said, I almost think you could have cropped just the patterns on the left and it would have been a bit more noticeable. As it is, the drifts compete for attention.
TECHNIQUE
You have done well at getting the snow to be a pure white. The drifts though are just kinda gray. If you could have taken it at another time of day, maybe the shadows would have been more distinct or darker. Also, if there had been some way to show the scale, right now this could be a mountain ridge from the air (okay, maybe not really), or your front yard.
OVERALL EFFECT
This is a pleasing picture to look at and the drifts create a very graceful pattern that is relaxing to look at. Good work, and good luck in the future. |

Right on Schedule...Amtrak 165by OneSweetSinComment by autool: I get the feeling that the train has jumped track. A small portion of track should be showing under the engine to show that all is okay. A good idea but needs improvement IMO. 5 |

Lost Trustby OneSweetSinComment by kiwiness: Excellent idea I love it! You have met the challenge head on with this image. At first I thought you had both his and her rings there but I see they are the same size so they must be both hers. I mean it wouldn't have made sense if his ring had also been there. Great composition, the angles are very harmonizing. Congratulations. |
