Old and newby cryingdragonComment by BHuseman: I think you have a great idea and a great image here. I am surprised it didn't score better in the challenge. Perhaps because it was US currency and this is sucha diverse international audience that may not know about the old wheat pennies.
Still a great shot and one to be proud of despite the score in the lower 5. |

Disasterby cryingdragonComment by Jutilda: This is really moody and almost ethereal. I love that you can barely see the face - yet he is mostly in sihouette. The pink and gray of the foggy surroundings is wonderful for that emotive feel. GREAT job. |

Hope they have good insuranceby cryingdragonComment by imaginationranch: Hi....i'm not quite sure what you did, but if i sat here a bit longer & really gave it a little thought-- anyway, you have some "bleedover" from the sky onto your subject, presumably in the places you cloned out distractions (such as the powerlines), and maybe from your application of the sky filter.
I read what someone else said about the exposure on the subject. i agree, you might have done a *leeetle* touch of selective exposure adjustment, but overall, it'sa good capture, a good candid.
As an amateur myself, and still trying to convince the paper that they ought to hire me rather than hope they can get any more"freebies" outta me (now I just show 'em what I got, tell them the story, and if they don't care to pay me for it, as a freelancer, i politely thank them and go away. Hopefully one of these days, they'll see another they just can't live without!) (-: Maybe I'll get assignments someday if i keep rooting out stories on my own!
My camera goes everywhere with me; you just never know what's around the next bend, literally! Good job, keep up the good work, and congrats on the assignment! Message edited by author 2007-07-29 21:01:30. |
