Lilliputian Interrogationby cryingdragonComment by TCGuru: This CRACKS ME UP!! I know my sons ROFL when they saw this!! I am sure your son had a good time participating mine would have too. :)
You did a good job on the fake blood and bruising too... wouldn't have looked as real without it :) |

Lilliputian Interrogationby cryingdragonComment by Quasimojo: Brilliant! I take it your other hand is out of shot on the shutter release cable? The post processing feels a little strong but the content carries it through imho. How does this look in b&w? |

Camoby cryingdragonComment by bs-photos: I agree with the eyes, they just seem a little too solid blue, just my 2 cents though. The pose & lighting I really like, thanks for dealing with all that greasy paint for this shot! :) |

Camoby cryingdragonComment by Louis: Yeah, the eyes are a bit punchy. Overall, well done. Light's good. Separation from the background is ok. Full depth of field on this head and shoulders portrait might have been good too. The position of the lights is perfect. |

Camoby cryingdragonComment by Elvis_L: lighting is again very good. I also think the eyes are a little unreal but don't mind them here because it adds a very interesting contrast to the camo. |

Camoby cryingdragonComment by idnic: Great job, Mike. I've done quite a few make-up shots & I have to agree, greasepaint SUCKS when you need to wash it off. Your eyes look amazing in this one. :) |

Pensiveby cryingdragonComment by JerseyGenie: I don't feel I have the experience (or expertise) to critique the photo from a photographic stance. I do have design experience however. So, if you don't mind I'll concentrate on addressing those issues.
First off, you have a diagonal. Diagonal always lends a feeling of excitement to it. Which is generally very good. In this case because your face is so peaceful it sort of tugs me towards peace and then towards excitement.
The only other thing that I noticed is that there is more black background on the right side (bottom) than near your elbow, it might help to even that out.
Just going with my first impression ... your pose is very calming, your face is very soft and welcoming and I felt at ease at first glance. |
