This suffers from what I see a fair amount in abstracts. It wants to be an abstract, but it still provides context of "what it is". In trying to provide both it suffers. I would either crop much closer to the vortex or crop more traditionally (not so centered) and make it less abstract. The color is pleasing, although I'm not sure if the selective desat works.

Work on the white balance to get rid of the yellow cast. And those ceiling tiles look eerily familiar...you sure we're not in the same office? Great start!
