I do like this lovely open space sonear the houses - a nice place to escape to! The picture itself is a bit bland with mostly medium grays. The sky didn't offer you a lot to work with - sometimes in those cases it can be best to limit the amount of sky you include. Overall, you might try a bit more sharpness to increase detail.

I'm thinking some more contrast in the shadows and highlights would improve the visibility in your image. If you have Photoshop, then Shadows/Highlights command could be used, and would result in some additional sharpening.

I really like the composition on this one. The only thing that is mildly distracting is the graduated border, but i'm not sure if a different border would look better on it anyway.

Good idea, but the selective desaturation could use more work. The orange balloons are partially desaturated.
