This photo is compelling. Certainly the subject, but the things around him I find interesting: the grocery bag, hat that fell off, newspaper, what appears to be hospital ID tags on wrists.

Interesting shot. I like the angle you captured this. Many would have had the standing angle pointing down. By bringing us down to eye level it helps create a connection to the person of the shot especially showing his hands and his hospital ID. The black and white conversion works but it seems everyone does black and white pictures of homeless people. Perhaps giving us the full color version would further allow us to empathize with him. Just an idea.
