Calculating the Risksby briphotoComment by justine: CC
Hello briphoto
Fits The Challenge-Yes, Square
Composition-
Background-Busy chess board, chess piece and a ?calculator? on the left.
Digital Processing-Good colors but the levels could of been adjusted a little bit, it's dark.
My Opinion-There is a lot going on in this shot. I do like the colors they all seem to go together along with the lighting. I find the focus a little soft and feel this could of been sharper focused on the two dice. I like the colors here the best, they are very inviting.
Good luck, and keep shootin'!!!!!!!!!

Silhouette at Sunsetby briphotoComment by justine: Fantastic sky..not crazy about the crop. Less to the top, more on the bottom. These colors and the composition almost make up for the crop, I do like your shot very much. |

Calculating the Risksby briphotoComment by jjbeguin: Good background and colors. Square cropped from the right side, and without the keyboard would result in a much more focused and balanced composition. |

Calculating the Risksby briphotoComment by mcrael: Hmmm - I find the object on the left very distracting because it is out of focus. Would prefer it wasn't there. Good capture of dice, and nice addition of the chess board squares. |

Oxymoronby briphotoComment by Gracious: Critique Club Comments by Grayce M. Dillon aka Gracious
The color is quite brilliant and focus is very good. A slight increase in contrast could enhance this, I think.
Although this meets the challenge, I would like to see some scenery in this, to give a sense of place, to add interest.
The oxymoron is excellent. You should send it to Jay Leno, or a newspaper or something like that. It's funny.
Where I lived in upstate, New York, there was a small town with the name Surprise. Is this a town?
Regards,
Grayce |
