The New Builds Around the Oldby briphotoComment by joro: I know there's not much you can do about it, but the shadow of the tree on the front of the house and the tree on the right are distracting... For the tree on the right, perhaps taking the picture from an angle that included the whole tree would work. But I like the way the shot is set up here anyway... |

"Lightning Strikes" by briphotoComment by LindaLee: Lightning shots are just so powerful to look at. This is lovely, and I like the blue/black coloring that seems to contradict the "heat" of the lightning. The horizon feels tilted to me, just a tiny bit, but then again it's so very early and I haven't had coffee yet, so it could be me! |

"Lightning Strikes" by briphotoComment by Brad: Great composition and subject matter. Lighting and detail are good, rich in color without being over-saturated. I am waiting for the day when I can try my hand at shooting lighting. Minor uneven horizon, but took nothing away because of it. ((8)) |

"Lightning Strikes" by briphotoComment by blemt: Having spent a good deal of time trying to catch lightning, I have oodles of appreciation for people who do this successfully. You need a slight CCW rotation to level out the ground. The colors are amazing, and I like the way you cropped. Very, very cool image. Hats off to you. 9 |

"Lightning Strikes" by briphotoComment by Skip: i'm going to have to come back to this one. for the moment, it feels like the horizon is slightly tilted and that it's a bit too dark at the top. otherwise excellent capture. |
