morning's minionby krnodilComment by trevytrev: I felt the same way when I snapped a Kestrel for the first time! They are quite small and zippy little fellows, congrats! |

raptor in blueby krnodilComment by andrewt: really good effort , looks like it was taken in the wild. Unfortunately difficult shots like these will be underrated to those more technically appealing shots that were taken in the zoo, 6 |

tanglewoodby krnodilComment by Teafran: I wasn't sure if it was my glasses, my monitor or I was having another episode with eye fatique. I understand what the author was trying to pull off here, but it doesn't work - something has to be focused or on the other hand, unfocused to create the etheral image the title suggests. |

websby krnodilComment by tph1: This is one I can get in to. I'm cautiously scouting a small trout stream (my favorite kind), look for a rise or a hatch or any other sign of activity while trying to remain unseen. There is probably one back there under the overhang, and its going to be really hard to get a good cast in there. I prabably just have one chance... |

websby krnodilComment by ubique: I'm not so crazy about the zoneplate stuff as I am about the pinhole. I don't exactly know why. It's just a feeling that it's neither one thing nor the other; not bad enough to be good, if you know what I mean? I think I need to see some more of them. I'm headed to your portfolio now, hoping to see some other examples.
Oh, I'm back already. There's some terrific shots there (including two that I'd commented on thinking they were pinholes). I know nothing, apparently. I guess it's just this shot that I'm not so crazy about. Still don't know why. Message edited by author 2009-04-01 09:07:45. |

. . .by krnodilComment by trevytrev: Tom said it well, as does your statement, it's really a dichotomy of feeling of joy and despair at the same time. They say one of the hardest times on a marriage is the empty nest, when the kids have gone off to live their adults lives. The couple struggles with the joy that their children have grown to take care of themselves versus the feeling of immense loss due to their independence. A very moving picture! |
