I like the dof a lot, one just slightly more in focus than the other but both with a pleasing overall softness. Great composition and, most importantly, the concentrated look on their faces is so well caught.
All that in glorious black and white and you have a winner here, imo!

they seem to be "in the zone"...well done...couple of things that I notice...if you had pushed the hue/saturation a good bit before you converted this to B&W you would have gotten a much richer tonal value IMO and if you had run noise reducer on this some of the graininess wouldn't be so noticeable...mind you I'm not saying this isn't a good picture...just a couple of things...is all
