indian summer with a forkby mitalapoComment by Ken: I'm really torn on this one... I really like the image but the water just doesn't seem to be the subject. My compromise score is 6. |

indian summer with a forkby mitalapoComment by ronno13: A nice treatment here with the fish-eye lens. But IMHO not for this challenge, a set-subject (water etc.) should have the water as the main object in the image, not the sand or sky. I would have rated this much higher in an open subject challenge.

seamlineby mitalapoComment by bmatt17: Beautiful shot. I really like how you did the ripped and taped look to separate the scenes.
On my screen I can see a little square surrounding the moon that's just slightly different than the rest of the sky. I'm assuming the moon was shot separately from the night picture and what I'm seeing is the square crop that was used to copy the moon into the scene? There's also a little section about 3-4 moon widths wide and 1 high, directly above and running to the left of the moon that has the same contrast difference. Looks to me like a cloud was brushed out with a hard brush. If so using a softer brush with some feathering would have blended it into the background sky better.
Gave you a 9, as I really like this. Think this would look wonderful on a big piece of canvas in someones living room. |

seamlineby mitalapoComment by jumboshrimp: very very nice and I like the angle instead of the top/bottom or left/right split..... both are beautiful on their own which makes this so fun to look at - hope you get a top 5! |
