40/52 - not just holdingby mitalapoComment by HarveyG: I think blur in a static medium such as photography is good, even obligatory. Especially tricky to get the head still as you have done here. Not everything has to be crisp and clear. My recent Free Study achieved motion on wings and stationary head. Your man is not just holding on to the rail but he's moving up it, and the exertion and effort si shown on the stationary head. Flawed? Maybe. In the bad light and ultra high ISO grain is almost expected and we saw this in 400 ASA film. What's not to like that CCD's and CMOS's exhibit the same characteristic? |

light cascade by mitalapoComment by LoVi: I love to go back and rediscover a photo I thought was spectacular......then look down and realized I voted the highest mark! Makes me feel confident in what I like. Is this MOMA? Where is it? This, to me is the quintessential sober, inspiring, truth picture.....I want to hang it some where in my space where the morning light finds it.....and I can see it first thing in the morning.....it makes me realize I need to spend my time on earth the best way I possibly can..... |

38/52 - tiltedby mitalapoComment by HarveyG: Color cast? Is that all? :) You'd easily score a 7 if entered in a challenge. Look at Andy Warhol's weird CMYK or RGB work. I'd maybe question the tilted horison :) |

olive treeby mitalapoComment by Kroburg: Nice tree. Not sure B&W is the right thing to do here. Foreground is a bit messy (or is it caused by post-processing?) |
