I never understand the mentality that good artsy shots dont do well, i love this shot personally. I like the effect that the prominence of the white stripes and the glow from the lights has on the genreal darkness of the image also the grainyness (is that a word) i feel adds to it. and the finishing touch is the avoid on comming bullets sign on the post (i know what it is really but it will forever be on comming bullets :P) great shot though.

if you couldn't see the hood, then the standalone quality of the b/w "artistic" shot would greatly increase.

A pretty shot. The movement is nicely captured, and I can identify with the story - waiting at a crossing. I wish more of the car got into the foreground - otherwise it looks accidental. 8
