Avocado-saladby MonaComment by JC_Homola: I'm sure this is really tasty. The one thing I'm not sure about is the colour. I might have tried to contrast a bit more to bring out the rich purples in the cabbage, and greens in the avacado. The overall purple cast to the entire shot, is just a bit off putting. Really good idea, using the leaves as the entire background. 6 |

Inside Natureby MonaComment by karmat: CRITIQUE CLUB

The first thing that grabbed my attention was the color. That is a lovely shade of purple. The water droplets were not noticeable to me at first, and I think if they had been, the picture overall would have been stronger. Maybe if you could have gotten closer to one and used it as the focal point of the picture, it would have been more effective.
Though meeting the challenge is not the main thing I vote on, I am assuming that you are "revealing" the inside of the plant.
Overall, a good shot. best to you in future challenges.

Not Alone So Much Longerby MonaComment by BeingClever: I like this image. I just wish you could have edited out the background tree it's distracting (but that's obviously not in the rules) and I find the border really competes with the pole. i would have skipped it entirely. Other then those 2 aspects, great colour, meets the challenge, and the crop you've selected is perfect. |

Not Alone So Much Longerby MonaComment by xhoss: good idea and execution. I know that its easy to play monday morning quarterback...but my only suggestion would be to do another angle to get the branch out of frame. But having said that, I won't factor that into my scoring, because this was obviously a spur of the moment thing and complete creativity wins out over staged "studio" shots every time in my books. The vertical framing job is excellent as well. Nice work. |

Avocado-saladby MonaComment by sonnyh: I like the color combination and the bowl but I wish you would have gotten a little closer. |

Feeling Blueby MonaComment by LucidLotus: Interesting coloring, really gives the image a unique look. Focus is great, the lighting enhaces rather than detracts. Border use is great too. 8 |
