Cancerby MonaComment by adine: I like the little bit of ive on the mouth parts, I wish it were sharper on the top of the shell. Perhaps you could include a bit more of this interesting looking creature - the legs seem so cut-off. |

Cancerby MonaComment by Rooster: is this a lobster? Regardless, I like the angle & composition. I also changed your score, bumped it up to an 8! |

Rules Are There To Brokenby MonaComment by Quadrajet: IMHO, using a flash could be considered "painting with light" but in this case it's simply an on camera flash...which doesn't really constitute anything particularly inventive or interesting.
That being said, this shot is entirely too underexposed, the skier barely stands out against the black sky.
Not only does this not meet the challenge, the image is poorly done. I'm sorry but I have to give this shot a 1 for meeting the challenge, a 1 for artistic merit and a 1 for technique.
In this particular instance 1+1+1=1. |

Cancerby MonaComment by Beagleboy: Top of the crawfish's seems out of focus. Interesting subject matter. Not too crazy about that thin red line in the border: loses its intensity along quite a few spots around the edge of the image.. Plain black would have been better. |

Cancerby MonaComment by scrum8: Looks more like a lobster than a crab, but they're all shellfish. I might have tried a tighter crop on the eyes. The top of the head seems out of focus. |

Cancerby MonaComment by RiderGal: This looks like a lobster not a crab? I like the photo though... although I would have liked to have seen a little more definition to the ice underneath, especially on the left side. |
