Comment by bassbone:
I like the subject and the centered composition - but the image seems a bit flat from a lighting perspective - I think an adjustment of levels would really help this one out. Also, there is a peculiar red halo around the edge of the image that is a bit distracting.

B&W works really good here, but it just seems a bit too noisy, also, with advances editing you could remove the little white spot on the top egg.

Overall... well done :)

Just an idea - I think it would look better if the white were more white, less grey.

Comment by macrothing:
Nice capture, especially of the horse. Having said that, I wonder if a variation in crop to make this more about the horse than the boy... but then that is your call of course. I also wonder about the potential of toning/b&w with this, to diminish the blue shirt mainly which is (slightly) distracting. However, the little kittens might get 'lost' in such a toning.

The natural frame is really creative, and I really like this picture. The darkness of the background within the frame makes this picture display its contrast well. The texture of the wood was well captured as well, I like it all. It's a simple shot turned into a great picture. Well done.

I was about to say the old chestnut, 'more light', when I realised I really actually quite like it! The muted tones make this simple and subtle, and I'm a fan :)

Great shot. I'm not a horse lover but I like this. The dark stall really makes it pop out.

Talk about a triple threat - horse, child, kittens!! Oh my goodness, you shouldn't go wrong with this! Really adorable, and WHAT a gorgeous horse.
