Gorgeous, clever. Great use of alternating focus to make us look more closely. Aside from the inferences of the subject (which in itself is excellent), the patterns created by all the different elements are just beautiful.

VERY cool. Love the deep contrast and shadows, and the composition is perfect. Pretty awesome texturing too. The idea is great - achieving the selective out of focus/funky eyes in the scene is far superior to doing so in post. Very nicely done. Thanks also for the mention; I've always loved your stuff, and have been very inspired by your unique work and expert use of natural light.

Right up my alley - looks like something I'd like to say I did. The comp, with the two pics, works really well - I like the differing sizes, different degrees of sharpness. And I have a thing for shopping carts, so I LOVE that part, especially the long light shadows. (Heh - just read Sevil's comment - seems we have similar taste!)
