A multitude of technicals bring this image into one short shutter opening and closing, yet allows us to methodically dissect that moment in our own time. People in the water, the pollution, the dramatic sky, the lens flare and sun, the ghost forms (Egrets?) around the yellow boat at right, the container vessel with no apparent harbour and then lastly another two white birds appear on the messy shoreline. It's a complex photo and you can just let it be or let it linger.

The colours and sky are wonderful. I'm so impressed that this was entered in what is expected to be a b&w street contest. DNMC in my opinion, yes. But a nice contrast to the rest.
