Week 3 - Texturesby BeckyTComment by HarveyG: Lovely texture with a 'dried mud' crackling like effect. Seed pods caught in the winds of time add a forlorn feel but with the promise of new life. Nice. |

Week 3 - Texturesby BeckyTComment by salmiakki: excellent texture shot. I use luminosity mode a lot too (especially b&w layers). I wonder if you tried the spicify at 25% luminosity to see how that would look? |

Week 3 - Texturesby BeckyTComment by nam: I like the webby (not a word but you maybe get my idea) look here - at first I thought it was a dried leaf with nothing much but the veins left. I like the tones. |

Week 3 - Texturesby BeckyTComment by jomari: Interesting textures. The sharpening effect comes from the Topaz spicify which is a fairly aggressive filter even though blending in luminosity mode maintains original colour (or close to it) |

Week 3 - Texturesby BeckyTComment by Dennisheckman: The high contrast is a little hard on the eyes but I don't have any suggestions really. It certainly is an interesting texture though. I wonder if you would have framed the dried seed in the upper right and introduced more of the circular part of the bird bath into the frame. I don't know? |

Week 3 - Texturesby BeckyTComment by Ann: I like it. It's an interesting texture. I wonder...I don't think it's oversharpened at all, maybe undersharpened if anything. What would happen if you both reduced the contrast you did just a bit, then added a wee bit of sharpening? Nothing too much of either change, but just a bit..... I'm splitting hairs, you might already have it exactly right, but it's worth a try to see what you think. |
