Anyways, just thought I'd swing by and let you know I thought this was wonderful. I too imagined the bird to be standing on a dead sunflower, giving the illusion that he is somehow miniaturised. Or perhaps the bird is alone on an alien world where plants are gigantic.

I wouldn't have known it was a palm tree if you hadn't said so in your PM -- it looks like a sunflower. Cool catch with the one leg, but the bird itself is hidden, and the focus isn't as sharp as it could be.

As a beginner I am having a wonderful time looking at truly remarkable photo's. This photograph is certainly a beauty. Having bought the same camera as you have, I can only hope that some day I can become half the photographer that you are.
