A couple things immediately jump out at me. The shadow in the background is a bit distracting, as it the stained Veg-O-Matic. Different lighting would have made this much better, IMO.

Technically - the lighting could use some work - more light on the keys would probably help. Also, the cropping seems a little off - there is a big black area to the right of the music that makes this seem offset. It is not a bad image, but could use a little more punch. To really add to this, getting someone in the image to actually practice or pretend to play would add a story to the image.

meets challenge, but sort of a flat image. background is blurred, but not enough to take it away as a distracting element and not interesting enough to add to the image as a whole. lighting isn't bad, but could be better on the left side. sorry - 4.

congrats to the artist, 1 idea towards the photographer: if you can chose the background (and the statue isn't too heavy) do so. That picture lives on reflections... you could improve that.
