Interesting and very worthy compositional subject but your treatment of it in post processing does not do the scene justice.

You got this from a train? Nice shootin', Tex. Nice shot but isn't much of a landscape IMO.

The darkness of this image is effective for this image, in my opinion, as is the lack of colour. Good capture for what you had to work with (gloomy day, moving train, etc.).

Interesting capture of a flooded forest, but the shot lacks composition (no wonder if you were shooting from a train window). 4

Overall soft-focus. The composition is good, however. But the pic is uninteresting overall. Have you been taking lessons from rook? :))

I think I see what you are going for here, kind of a 'typical slice of night life' type thing, which is actually quite a good idea, and you're close, but it just doesn't feel like it is all coming together in this case. The placement of the vehicle (on the lower left thirds intersection) in the composition makes one want to view it as a main subject, yet there is the pedestrian crossing sign post as a distraction in front of and disecting it. The bright white Chase Rd sign, being the brightest point in the scene strongly draws the viewers eye, and yet it is not in the focal plane, so I feel it leaves the viewer in their mind, a little confused as to the theme. In all, a nice idea, and a little more diligence to the choice of the layout of the scene could make a greater impact.
