I like the glacier and message. The little trees in front are unfortunate, but still an interesting photo.

Gorgeous scenery. The trees peeking up at the bottom draw my eye away from the glacier. Those could probably be legally cloned out as incindental items.

Avg vote, it looks like i am just staying at the side of a brown mountain. I know its a glacier but its very bland and takes up almost entire view. Perhaps a portrait cropping focusing more on the left side would work better.

First off, I love glaciers. Thank you for shooting them; they'll be gone much too soon. However, I have some critiques of this image.

I think this shot would've improved drastically if you had come back when the lighting was less intense. Glaciers loose their majesty when the light is so intense that it makes them a white snowy mass. In morning or evening light, with a longer exposure, you pick up that gorgeous refracted blue from the glacier, which really speaks to its age and majesty. However, if your heart is set on shooting in bright light, a polarizing filter would have helped a great deal.

Likewise, glacial water has an amazing turquoise color from the glacial silica suspended in the water. I'm not surprised that you don't see it at this angle--you're a little too low. Move up the hill a ways and show off that water!

Lovely photo, I think I would like to have seen more sky in the photo to help place the ice flow if that makes sense.

Is that Tracy Arm Fjord? Amazing, I was there in 2003 and I can see the difference even in just a few short years. Nice shot, hope you were bundled up well! :)
