One Celebrity Snapshot...Two Camerasby EssAreDubyaComment by Teafran: It took a while to get the idea, but this is certainly a different look at the challenge subject. A very interesting capture and one that is unique. Very different. This would have worked as well in the "Candid" portion of the short term challenge. Well done. |

Night Trainby EssAreDubyaComment by smudgeSMJ: The lights on the train look great, but I wish the lights on the latform were a little brighter to help give the train lights some context. |

Night Trainby EssAreDubyaComment by Teafran: From a technical standpoint, this is an average effort being overly dark. From an artistic standpoint, it's rather bland and uninviting to the viewer. Sometimes an image is just an image - a little more thought into composing this and using good lighting techniques such as a long flash or maybe even bouncing a flash to help the mood would have been a better choice. A longer exposure time might have been a plus. A good effort falling short in the artistic sense. |

The Reservoir In Central Park---New York Cityby EssAreDubyaComment by gaurawa: Greetings from the Critique Club!
My first thought: Nothing interesting to grab my attention.
The water in the foreground attracts a lot of attention (which could be the case as your title is reservoir related), but the buildings overcome this, in essence my attention is divided between the two. Also the buildings in the background are not sharp. Water has a lot of distractions as well which could be cloned out for presentation. the color on buildings seems off and brown doesn't go very well here.
regards,
Gaurawa

Night Trainby EssAreDubyaComment by jdixonsd: I know it's a shot of a train at night, but the shot either needs more train or a slower shutter speed. JMO! |
