Photograph shows good imagination and thought for the Challenge.

Depth of field is good as is the composition.

A very different approach in which to place the angle of your camera lens; shows initiative and imagination.

Very clear focus on the first and second Headstone, but things seem blurry from there on; I like the way you captured the decaying features of the various Stones. Such a shame that they are ignored this way!

I especially like the coloring of the Headstones and the Walls of the buildings, both behind the Headstones and at the end of the walkway. The cobblestone walkway is all washed out.

I wonder what this photograph would look like in Black and White? Bet it would be a beauty!

The interest of this photograph lies within the viewer and the viewer as such casts the final vote.

Your finishing score of 5.4 is not that low and I donât see anything really technically wrong with your photo so it has to be something wrong with the visual impact that kept your score down.

Keep shooting Haje; get your creative juices running, practice more, have fun, shoot, shoot, and your scores are going to go zoom, zoom!

Regards,

Ed

Good depth of field in the photo. Itâs on a different angle than you normally see in a photograph and it works for this gravestone photograph although I would like to have seen the focus on the entire image instead of being mis-focused on the âagedâ and focusing on the 9 months onwards part of the stone.

I like the colours as shown in your photograph, the mossy green of age and neglect, however, I donât like to see the brightness of your [flash] just below the âaâ and âgâ on the stone, on the white chip.

The visual impact was very strong on some of the viewers, as one can read from the comments below, and I agree with them. I often spend a rainy afternoon in old graveyards reading from old stones and wondering what it would be like to lose a child who was only months old. Heart breaking, indeed . . .

Your photography shows good imagination and creativeness and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the coming weeks and months ahead.

Regards,
Ed
