the lighting may be a touch harsh, but I like it. I have a similar shot that was B&W, with almost the same lighting (maybe a bit harsher) and it actually did fairly well. Great DOF and focus. As with mine I got comments for a touch of light on the dark side just to see the eye a bit, but I like it this way.

Technically this picture is perfectly executed. I like the angle and the choice of reduced DOF to focus on the tank against the sky. The use of a polarizing filter makes the sky beautiful and the blue contrasts well with the orange. The great clarity and detail make this picture very pleasant to look at.
But the main problem in my opinion is that this image does not convey the idea of transportation. I am not sure I understood what your point was when you took this picture. I think the way you took this picture is in contradiction with what you meant. The angle and composition of this picture in my opinion make this image quite static, which is in opposition with the theme.
This is really too bad, since otherwise the technical quality of this image is very impressive. Great work anyway.

First off, I want to say that this was one of my favorite shots in the challenge, it shows mastery of photoshop, composition and light.

As far as meeting the challenge, I think you pushed the limits of this one, most people were looking for two or three seperate photos.

Your composition is excellent, the positioning of the road, sky and men is right on.

Your lighting is awesome, good choice on the polarizer, looks middayish which I am sure created a washed out sky without it.

Colors are great, love the contrasting red and blue.

I like the title, suits the image mood well.

An awesome image that may have done better in a different/more suited challenge.

I recently arrived home from an Arizona trip, this brings back fond memories of the beautiful landscape, thank you.

I like the angle you shot this photo in. The sky looks nice in the background.

like the yellow and blue, great clouds. Why did you choose to have this part of the forklift in the foreground? It is confusing, not the full name, not in focus. I like the composition of shapes, the near and far, but it just doesn't all pull together for me.

Great saturation and clarity. Doesn`t quite say transportation but close enough.7
