An exquisite moment, sensitively captured and rendered. Despite strong evidence of post-processing left in the shot, the extreme sharpness paired with soft lighting could hardly have been better chosen.

What impresses me is the astounding emotional range of this photograph which, IMHO, takes it well beyond the genre of animal portraiture. Fine work, very fine work.

I loves pictures that tell stories. Very sweet & touching. The choice of using a chimp & a girl is great! The expression of both subjects is very well captured. It really shows a large degree of both physical & emotional connection. The b/w treatment works wonder here in bringing out the atmosphere. I also like the way the picture is divided into the sharper left and the blurer right-very artistic... and how the angle seem to suggest that the girl is the one in the cage instead.

nice photo - a style i like very much. in general your photos i like very much ;}

one thing you might try is subtly leaving the green of the lily pads intact - say at 10% or so - i like that effect quite a bit.
