This was good for a definite laugh - somewhere in the midst of the appreciation. Besides being funny and original, this shot is really well-balanced - I like the way you've placed the objects, splitting it across, but not bound it to being the same height on both sides. It works really nicely - and the lighting is well-placed, too, setting focus on the joining and the liquid more than on the support case of straws, without obscuring them. Nice shot.

I think you've made the point too empatically with your lighting on the orange. I'm not crazy about the spot on the orange without much diffuse lighting to illuminate other parts of the photo.

Pluses: I like the concept, the background is clean and non-intrusive, the composition is pretty solid. Minuses: the lighting is a bit harsh/uneven for my taste, and the glass is SO sweaty it looks like it's been there a while. Might have been your intention but to me it says "this is shot #150 of this setup," which ruins the sort of "just happened upon this scene" feel.

Weird. If I were to nit-pick.. I like the lighting on the apple, but not the light on the straws below. I know it is hard to get the lighting just right, though. Maybe a little more light on the drink. If it is suppose to look like apple juice, it looks too dark. I not particularly fond of the boarder.
