The composition is good. The border is bad. I think that the lighting is to dark, however I like the position of it. I would have added another soft light from the lower left to fill in the figure a little more.

interesting subject...is it a mushroom? anyway, its good dof, although i wish there wasn't so "much" subject OOF up front - just a little hard on the eyes...but I'm the last one who should say that... nice work. good lighting and clarity.
