The lighting works very well here to backlight the plant, bring out the texture of the jug, and cast a nice shadow all at once.

This is an exceptional photo - I love the texture and color of the background. I love the composition. Lighting, colors, DOF - all great! The only thing I'm bugged about is the wheat - but that's just a personal choice. I've pictured this in my mind without the wheat and it still looks great to me. Good choice with the framing - all around and excellent shot - I definately see a ribbon on this one! :-)

The slightly soft focus gives this a dreamy type feeling. Definitely gives off the feeling of "alone". It's like a little girl left the bear behind. Good lighting and great contrast. Framing works well. "10"

Very traditional image likely appealing to a broad spectrum of viewers, technically accomplished and sensitively executed.

Critical notes: Such a warm and -soft- rendition would, IMHO, benefit from a complete absence of any decor. I'd prefer a hairline border, white or black or none or at all. The hue-matched line, I feel, softens an already soft image.

The tilt of the vase is weighted heavily by the spatial extension of the single grass across the width of the photo. For a more pedantically balanced composition, I feel, that a slight counter-clockwise rotation would be something I'd consider.

The dark stairs and concrete wall make the bear sem lonelier than might otherwise be the case. Nice setup.

You know aside from the fact that this is a very good photo as is....it also happens to be a very good photo of a subject matter (forgotten toy) a lot of people have tried and not done nearly as well at, for this challenge. Great light and colour choice. The black part of the border IMO is a tad wide, but I'm just nit picking now. Good job!
