Because in order to get great sunsets you need "overcast" or clouds in the right spots to reflect color I would not say this really shows weather as the subject matter really asks. However, as an image it is very pleasing and I love the silloutes. it seems that the skyline goes down hill and is in the middle of the image. Horizon or skyline should be on the thirds no on the middle... Good job

Circles and Circles

Hi Nathalie!

Initial Impression:
Circles, colour, and water.. Good combinations.

Challenge:
I can see the connection to Pi with the circles, but just the circles themselves don't say "Pi" to me.

Composition:
Not much I can say here, it's a well done abstract. I like the combination of the water droplets and the colour circles. That adds a lot of impact to the photo.

Technical/Post-processing:
The lighting is superb, very good detail on the cloth surface and a no really distracting reflections on the water droplets. I think I would like to see just a tad more saturation in the colours, but that really is personal preference.

Overall:
Very nice abstract shot, but the tenuous connection to the challenge may have contributed to the low score.

Cute, well created arrangement. I want to like the background, but it seems unevenly light and somewhat out of focus (maybe placing the arrangement on a piece of glass, suspended about a foot off this background - net two good things - no out of place shadows and fully blurred background to make it more like a field of flowers in the distance). 8 Rob the Swash

lighting is a bit harsh. maybe soften it a bit by moving it away or putting a piece of white sheet over it.
