Overall this photo is just a little too soft. The boat is not sharp enough. If the boat were sharp and the backdrop a little soft, that would've been much much better. Looks to me like the focus just wasn't quite in the right spot. Very nice scene, one to go back and try this shot again, with maybe a little more light.

This is a well composed landscape, actually very well composed. I think if it were not a DPC picture I would remove the little birds to clean it up. 8

Did you try other angle of the boat, such as having the sunset/sunrise directly behind the boat. Currently the boat is almost to far right and my focus area tend to more towards the sun.

Very touching image. The focus and dof used are perfect for the photo. I actually like the way you did it and I can understand the lighting and the colors you used, however not everyone can. I am sure there are those who didn't like the harshness of the golds or the brightness of the reds, but to me the work well.

Personally I wouldn't have changed a thing cause you expressed yourself very well. Nicely done.

beautiful colours here. I think the composition is great, although I would have prefered the boat to be a bit more to the left, as the main subject of the photograph.
