I can see the face of the child, but barely. I'm sure you're hearing a lot of "too dark" comments, so I'm not going to pitch in. The expression on the child's face is very nice, like a "little thinker".

Unfortunately, your shot is completely black. I can see every other submission to this challenge (even Black Feather, for which I had to turn up my already-calibrated monitor), but I can't see yours, even with Contrast and Brightness pumped all the way to 100%. Sorry, the inside of the lens cap is not a valid low-key choice. :->

To me this epitomizes Black on Black/Low-key. Maximum detail with minimal use of light. You could have even ligthened it up a little. I used This as my basis for voting. 8 (Avg. Vote Cast in Challenges to date 5.1344) Hope the link is working :)
