chairby bvlindalouComment by PHOTOKID: First thing first, I like the boarder you chose to place around the photo. It compliments the color of the chair well. I like the composition and positioning of the chair, with the slight diagonals created by the feet of the chair.
I feel, IMO, there isnt enough negative space on the left hand side. I like the shadows on the carpet that are diagonals cutting through the chairs shadow as well I think this adds to the feel of the overall photo.
The lighting on the back wall is a bit harsh and the the outlet on the same wall is un-needed. Clone out the outlet and maybe try a bit different shutter speed to tone down the highlights on the wall a bit. The lighting on the chair is very nice.
Overall, if you were to put this into the furniture challenge it would have scored in the 5.7-6.2 range. Its a nice photo.
Hope this helps,

chairby bvlindalouComment by glad2badad: For the 'Furniture' challenge I like this better. That's just the conservative me. I think this says "Furniture" better than your entry, although your entry is cuter. I'm a fan of light and shadows. In this case the light works well, as does the shadows, although the photo seems heavy on the left. I feel like I want the chair to be on the right, but then that would mess up the shadows. :D The wallplate for the plugs should probably go (clone out). Just a thought, and all of the above is JMO of course. :P |

armchair travelerby bvlindalouComment by glad2badad: Do you always go around grabbing other people's chairs? :D I like the overall feel and warmth (lighting is doing that) of this image.
Some more breathing room at the bottom would help some (you cut off the chair, but probably already know that). :P |
