People didn’t read the rules carefully or just didn’t understand some of the rules are the real reason of breaking the rules. But why should you care about that? All top 5 photos are required to submit the proof and the SCs have done their jobs thoroughly so you know DQ = no ribbon. |
I agree most people are DQ for mistakenly breaking the rules and they generally learn by those mistakes. But both you and HighNooner have been DQ for repeated offenses usually for similar reasons, plenty has been said regarding this in the forums I will leave it up to others to form an opinion.

Neither are criminal and both are breaking the rules and hurt the users of the site.

I have no reason to panic my integrity is not in question here. Yes I did react to your chart as it gave my an insight to your thought process and it alarmed me that you take this ribbon chase so serious! I'm no doctor but I would assume it would almost be unhealthy for the mind to let it bother you so much.... hence my remark for you to "chill"

When I have an opinion on a subject sometimes I like to express it. Like I tried to express in my original post here.....all this rant is tainting such a lovely image. |

Yes, it is fantastic, but not really yours in my opinion (which is just as worthless as your worthless digital blue ribbon). The rant is because you want folks here to beg you for the setup. You don't really care about Brian Mumford. If you did you would have said something before folks asked how you did it. You could have praised him in the beginning and put a link to his website. Not to a link that doesn't work.
What a waste of time making the graphic. What does it prove? How small you really are! |
I do not drink, I am against Alcohol intake, advertisement and make, and I DID NOT vote on this challenge, but this is a great photo.
I asked myself Debbi, after I read your post : Why would she have so much anger against the desire and urge to compete, win and make exceptional work? And why does she compete here if she does not have some, just a little some, desire to win, at least once? Because she , you Debbi, if you do not have that urge you are better of posting your photos on flicker or facebook where you do not have to worry about guys seeking excellence in something the love doing, and are willing to pay money and spend dear time perfecting, and even then when people all people publish on non-competition sites that means they seek appreciation and acknowledgement in a way or another.
So, so much for william88 wanting to win so bad because you and I and the rest want to win, not as much, more or less, agreed; but with the varying desire in individuals to win comes the ability and dedication which too may vary between individuals.
I travel 300 - 5000km to take a photo spending way more the the $300 dollars spent on making such a wonderful photo, we do this because we love photography; people do spend money and time on their hobbies.
I do not want to be a judge or make ruling here, but I think you will change to the better if you make one win and get a ribbon. I do not want to come stronger than I should, but answer me this: Do you like to win just once? |
You see HighNooner some people take the winning thing way too far, it's like all competition, it can bring out the best and worst in people.
Some people here resort to breaking the rules to win a virtual ribbon.....just looking at your profile I notice we have entered a similar amount of challenges but I have never been Disqualified for an entry which is something you can't say.
You and William have both been disqualified for breaking the rules......maybe its time to think about if winning at ALL cost is that important? |

1. Avg Vote Cast: 4.4225. Why don’t you continue your strategy? Look how dirty your initial conspiracy was. No matter how much I wanted to win, I used my photography skills instead of your conspiracy.
2. I didn’t pay for the setup, please upgrade your reading glasses.
3. How did your brain compile the word Mumford which is nothing to do with my contracted Brian? Please upgrade your firmware, if possible.
4. Don’t you know this page is accessible by non-registered people? Of course my contracted Brian had read this page and verified the “conditional working hyperlink”. He wants to keep the way it works right now for his own purpose which only intelligent people know why. Especially after he read your comment and received messages from other noble dpc members.
5. Now how did your brain compile “his website” which never been exist?
6. You are totally conflicting yourself. I don’t want anybody to beg for the hint at all. Let’s see an example, if you revealed all the tricks of a magician, he will be out of business and he will hate you and next time he will not help you anymore. So why should I breach the contract and let people beg for the hint if you said that I want to win so badly? His future help is more likely to fulfill your hypothetic "badly wish to win in my mind". Remember, the voting system is fully anonymous here.
7. The real cause of the rant was my “awareness-raising chart”. It enraged oldbimmercoupe (Avg Vote Cast was 4.9787, now 5.0006), dan_d (Avg Vote Cast: 4.9457 now), and Debbi (Avg Vote Cast: 4.4225 now)
8. It’s my freedom to pay anyone who can provide useful equipments to me. It’s none of your business. Remember, your 5D Mark II is more expensive than my 7D.
9. It’s my freedom to use any helpful tools to track my own score and make my own chart. It’s none of your business. The excel workbook had been available on dpc for years; many people downloaded and used it to save their time of clicking update button.

Thanks
