First off, I see this is your first entry in a challenge here at DPC... Welcome! Please don't be discouraged by a low score, we all have to start somewhere. This shot begs for my what I like, what I don't like treatment so here we go.
What I like: I love the contrasting colors of the green and red. You also have some very interesting textures too. The lighting though subtle does a good job at bringing out some of these textures, especially in the metal cable to the left of frame.
What I don't like: The shot is a little dark on the tire and the rope to the right of frame. This makes it harder to see those textures. There isn't a dominant subject in the shot, nothing to give your eye a resting place. I'm not sure that I like the cropping either. It looks awkward that you cut rope off at the side. The cable looks alright cropped because there isn't as much of it in the shot but the rope with just the edge cut off doesn't look right.
Why didn't this score better: I think that the reason that this didn't score higher has to do with the challenge theme, your title and the image itself. The theme of the challenge was to use Beatles songs or lyrics to create a picture. While I'm not familiar with the song you chose, the image doesn't seem to fit the theme set in your title. Nothing here really looks like junk. It looks like the back of a relatively clean work truck.
Hope something here was helpful.
