Heart-a-glowby RuchartComment by FranziskaLang: Challenge met. I like the positioning of the heart within the photo, and the border works well with it. So does the title, it really does look like it's glowing :) The lighting is a little uneven, the container seems to disappear a little on the right, I don't know whether that was intentional or not, but I'd like to see this also with even lighting. Not sure which I would like better though. |

Heart-a-glowby RuchartComment by kandyj: Kind of difficult for me to tell what it is around the heart that disappears. Your framing is nice. |

Heart-a-glowby RuchartComment by Jacko: Nice vibrant red, however looks a bit out of foucs. Maybe use a tripod. very appropriate for the challenge. Good luck. |

Heart-a-glowby RuchartComment by Annida: Nice shot, Did you put a light behind the heart? Good idea. I like how it melts into the background, one of my favorites, well done -annida |

The Squirrel Highwayby RuchartComment by Swashbuckler: Well taken shot of this telephone pole. Challenge aspect - met. Contrast is O.K. Focus - better than O.K., but not super great. Interest - sorry, but low. 7 Swash |

The Squirrel Highwayby RuchartComment by lisae: Interesting lines, and nice textures on the pole. The composition is good. The Black and white has nice, rich dark tones but doesn't seem to go all the way up to the whites, making the photo a little too grey overall for my liking. I just tried playing with it, and with a lighter sky the pole stands out beautifully. Perhaps it's because my monitor is calibrated for the squares on the bottom of the voting page. |

The Squirrel Highwayby RuchartComment by PTLParsons: I agree with the title, BUT where is a squirrel? There needs to be one so that the title is not the only thing saying so. The photo must be able to stand alone with the title and still reflect it. Am I just overlooking the squirrel? Trying to figure out your tone. It's not a black and white, nor is it a sepia tone. What ever it is supposed to be it also needs to be lighter. The composition is good and the focus is especially good, more on the soft side. It just needs to be lighter. |
