I like the processing on the people in back. In fact I find the background more interesting than the foreground as the angle on the rider hides his arms and head and is therefore not as strong as it could be.

A good concept for a storytelling shot, but hard to pull off - you've done pretty well. Tough because the horse is a lot bigger and to have him in the foreground but the focus on the man means a lot of the frame will be out of focus. Since it's a shot that has to be viewed fairly large to appreciate, having most of it out of focus is a little strange. I think you did about as well as could've been done as a candid, journalistic shot.

A most novel image. The title might suggest it should be the horse in focus not the sulky driver, but without the bias of the title, I like the sharpness of the driver's face that suggests he is reading the animal as much as the creature is waiting for its cue. Quite a unique moment.

They both seem exhausted against the claustrophobic, desaturated background. But hey, they have color, they're alive. Fine story moment. Come to think about it, is the background just naturally desaturated?
