Snow is actually difficult to deal with in photos that's why there are so many grey or blue snow photos from underexposure. But you mastered a snow shot. The exposure of the snow is good-white snow. I enjoy the way the deer/elk are going about their meal but casting a careful eye your way.

Very expressive, great capture. I agree with skewsme that lightening them up a notch would help them "pop" via more details. The eye always tends to be drawn to the brightest thing in the frame, and in this case it is the snow behind the deer. You have all the right elements here, just a difficult lighting situation, in which either fill-flash on site or corrections in PS might render a result you liked even more.

Very nice capture. I like the way they are interacting with each other. I just wish it were a bit sharper. I gave it a 6 but if it were sharper, it would have easily been a 7 in my book.

Actually this isn't a bad image. I like the composition, but the exposure is way off. I find the completely blown out areas detract from the image.

I'm not entirely sure that I agree with the too dark comments here, only a small part of the animals' fronts are dark on my screen. Would probably have been a difficult shot to meter, too, what with the contrast.
