Good subject for B&W, but it came out a little flat in the desaturation; doesn't really pop like a strong BW image will.

He has a look in the eyes, like saying: " I know you hate it, but I love it". I think the soft focus helps the composition

Oranges, oranges, oranges. Beautiful Light, Wonderful Lines, Great Textures! I actually like this composition quite a bit. It has nearly everything that I personal like in a photo.

I am guessing for the reasons for the lower score:
1) probably a couple of more passes through Unsharp Mask would have greatly helped
2) While a beautiful picture, I think many people have seen this "type" of picture before

If I would have voted in the challenge, I would have given it a 7 or 8. Oh well, highly underrated.
