Plane of perspective by snafflesComment by RayEthier: A truly wonderful image. well worthy of its' placement at the top of the heap.
Your photography has improved by leaps and bounds from the days when I first met you at the library and am proud to say that I knew you when you first started out. Very nicely done, and I have no doubts that, given your drive and devotion, that you will astound us with your creativity and talent.
Keep up the good work.

Huntress at homeby snafflesComment by Nuzzer: Greetings from the Critique Club.
First impressions are of the reddish colour cast.
Technically the colour cast bothers me. I can see it in the top corners a bit but it has made the skin tones look unnatural. Other than this the shot is technically sound.
Artistically I'm not sure what look you were going for. I get the headgear but the shirt half on/half off look seems to be out of place. I think we may have connected with the shot some more if the model was looking at the camera rather than off to the side.
In summary an ok shot but the issue with the tones is what pushed this down into the sub-5's IMO.
Feel free to PM me if you have any queries.

My snowshoesby snafflesComment by richhansen: Interesting colors. I'd like the snow shoes less lined up to add some drama to the photo. Neat how you got the snow purple. Clever treatment. |
