Hey Leroy ... me again :)
First Impression - the most important one:
I think this guy is pissed with you ... and you got away with it .... I think only cos he loves you.
Composition:
I think this is ok .. I like that your haven't got her right arm fully in the shot .. our minds can draw that in ... the crop seems a little tight on heis hat ... I am not sure how much more of a pic you had to work with. ...
Subject:
I have to agree with your other commentors .. he seems totally in his environment .... so is this a family thing ???? :)
Technical (Colour and light):
I stared for a while .. and he does seem to have a slight blue cast on his face ... I think this is purely from the reflection or (you know what I mean) off the truck ... I think the DOF isa great ... and I love how you have also captured in other elements of the track with the helmit which completes the image.
To grow its vote?:
maybe a differnt crop ... is your dad naturally pale or is the pic slightly washed out on his face .. I found with my nana shots I had to add alot of colour and ended up overdoing it (she is ntaully very brown) I am wondering if your dad is in a siminar boat as his arms seem slightly tan.
Summary:
Lovely shot ... .. its always cool to have something in the album that others the the family/whanau (in maori) don't have.
