had other ideas but thiswas the one that made the cut. It isspring down here and fresh new flowers are bursting forth everywhere. This one flower now has several sisters pushing through the fence. And yes it was not a set up shot but was naturally occurring. Had a linear polariser on the camera which is why the wood grain came out so well in an obviously mid afternoon shot.

This is pretty good but just perhaps a little bit too dark. The wood grain is good and flower is okay, but the overall picture just seems like its inside an old outhouse or something. I guess in an outhouse though, you're pretty alone :)

interesting contrast between the background and the subject. border a bit heavy. i think this time around there's too much patterns going on. very 'noisy' if you will. perhaps selective desaturation may have been another option to let the flower shine. love the grain of the fence(?) though. very cool, textile feel.
